Costumes/hair and make-up

What my male character wore was very casual but is in fashion. The hoodie made it seems as he likes the more in style fashions and patterns. By him wearing a camoflauge jacket it shows to us that he may be interested in the army or wanting to join the army and that he likes combat and likes to represent things that make him stand to be a man.
His jeans suggested he was the typical boy type and his shoes are kind of scruffy which made him seem a bit as he didnt care after himself as much. And his hair portrays to us that he doesnt have much care for his hair and doesnt like to style his hair.

 His shoes which are in the image below shows to us that he doesnt wear high brand shoes which are expensive and would rather wear military style shoes and doesnt really care about keepin in with new trends, they also look like arent clean so he doesnt take much care about his shoes and what they look like and he maybe just likes to get ready for the day and go.

His props were his mobile phone which is an in to date phone which is touchscreen this means he is materialistic so is keeping in with the trends with upcoming technoloigies.
His other prop is his car this shows us that he has a relatively in date car and isnt too old this means to the audience that he has money and can look after himself well and likes electric materialistic things and likes his gadgets.

My female character wore a leather fur-trim jacket which shows us that she likes a bit of class and high standard as it seems quite expensive. And as it is a real leather jacket it sows to us that she likes to splash out on clothes occasionally and likes to take care in the way she looks and how she is potrayed to other people.

She is also wearing skinny jeans which shows us that she is in fashion with younger people and teenagers so she can relate well to the audience. I also think that by her wearing the skinnny jeans shows to us that she does like to takje care of herself but doesnt like to be too girly and to stand out that much.




The clothing in which Bryony is wearing in the studio shows to us that she likes to wear casual clothing and a relaxed style. The top shows us that she is in fashion but doesnt like to stand out with bright colours or fancy clothing. Her jeans shows us that she likes to keep up with fashion by wearing skinny jeans which is what the majority of girls wear these days.

The shoes in which she wears in the studio and in the music video are red vans and i think that these shoes shows us that she likes to keep up with popular brands and likes to know that she in with the trends, i also think that because they are trainers this shows us that she likes to take the more casual look when she wears shoesand doesnt like to wear very girly clothing or shoes which portrays to us that she is very high maintainence.

The hair and make-up in which she wears throughout the music video shows us that she likes to not care as much about her facial features and likes to keep her make-up very natural looking and not so loud and bright looking but like to have make-up which is at least notciable at times or for special occasions. Her hair in the music video is up all of the time this shows to us that she doesnt like to maintain her her that much and just likes to not put too much effort in to how it looks and likes to not take too much time to get ready.

Conclusion

Overall i think that costumes and props are a big part in to making a music video what it is i think by having characters which relate well to the music video and the genre of the music video you are making it makes it more easier to figure out what the theme is throughout a music video. i also think that costumes may be little things but they play a big part in a video and effects how a music video looks and how a character is portrayed. I think that i have made the character suite the part they are playing within the video and it helps that the female character in the video is also the artist who sang the song.
