4music is a music and entertainment channel based in the united kingdom, and is available on some digital television providers in the Republic of Ireland.The channel launched in august 2008 replacing The hits. It is the only channel-4 branded channel within the Box television network.

How will this benefit our song?

I think that this institution would distribute my song well because it is a well known channel on sky and freeview so the channel can be easily accssed with no charge and run 24/7 everyday and believe that this will give our song more airtime.

They also offer a web page which you can access either by computer or mobile or tablet etc.It comes with suggestions for music videos which are new in the charts so 4music is more widely accessed.Its also gives focus on the most popular artists and competitions of new artists which is a gap in the market for selling our single and my artist. The website seems very visual too and bright this is very appealind to the younger audience which is our chosen target audience. You can also share what music or celeb gossip you like to any social networking such as facebook,twitter,tumblr whihc also the younger generations would enjoy doing.Another great factor about the 4music website is that they have a WATCH NOW! button which can allow you to watch what is on the 4music channel at anytime, this also mean that audiences can watch music videos whilst out and about on there mobile phone.


Conclusion!

what i have concluded is that 4music will be the ideal company to distribute my music video/song.
I also think that my music vidoe will fit the type of age in our target audience for exmple the agegroup as to which our song is aimed at is 18-26 because theyw ould be the agegroup which would watch 4music because they may have the time too and are more interested into listening to up to date music. Another reason as to why our song is well fitted to 4music is because the age group is of a younger generation they are more likely to be going through a time in there which they are entering short term reelationships or ending them, unlike people in there late 30s or early 40s who are of the older generation who woulld be experiencing long term stable relationship and would have children and be happily married so songs to do with break-ups would not attract them.
