Drafts of our digi pack!
This is the draft of our album cover of how we wanted it too look we have kept the same idea of having to halves to the image but have changed the idea to the background of each image and have just used a plain background as there was difficulty in finding props. We also stuck to the idea of her wearing two different types of clothing in either half of the image to portray her personality in different ways.
Draft of our magazine cover
This is a draft of our magazine cover we wanted our artist to be on the side of the page rather than in the middle as we thought that she didnt need to be in central view because we wanted our album cover to have more publicity and we thought that the release date and reviews were more shown in the image. We also wanted the artistys name to be in clear view as her name is the most important part of an album cover and music video.

The making of the digi-pak
front cover original images and making of them
| Original 1st
half of front album cover This is my original image of my first half of my album cover. The reasons as to why i wanted to edit this was because i felt that was too dark and i wanted the attention of the image to be ont he artist and this wasnt going to be achieved if she is in the dark so i wanted to make the image brighter. |
Original 2nd half of front cover
How i edited it:
1. What i first did is that i cropped the iage so that the artist was the main focus of image.
2. I then brang up the bright ness of the image to make her face seem more brighter.
3. I then brought up the contrast to make her seem more colourful and stand out i thought this worked well.
4. I then used the spot healing tool to cover up any imperfections.
Overall i think that the way in which i edited this image worked successfully and that i think this will attract someone who is buying the album because the arist face is more noticable and is also matching the front covers picture which shows that the images arent all mis-matched. I also think that this will be a good contrasts to the other and will represent the fun side of her personality.
Final front cover result!
Final outcome and how i made it :
1. I first got the black and white image opened in on photoshop
2. I then got the colourd half of the front cover inserted over the top of the black and white image by creating a new layer.
3. I then used the eraser tool and erased half of the colured image to get the blaack and white image behind to show up this then create the effect of there being two images in one.
4. I then used the feather tool and blur tool to make the line joining the two images together more blurred and blend in more i think that this worked sucessfully.
5. I then went into publisher and edited it in there and put the titles over the top of the image to give the album a name and to put the artist name on it.
5. I then went into publisher and edited it in there and put the titles over the top of the image to give the album a name and to put the artist name on it.
overall i think thatmy album cover has worked well because i think that it stands out alot and it may have a dark background but i think it works well to portray my artist.
Original image of inside cover:
Original image of inside cover:
This is my original image for my inside cover the reasons as to why i have edited the image is because i think that the image is overall too dark and needed tobe brighter also i didnt like the fact that the black fabric cover which is used as the background in the image is too creased and give the photo a messy background so i wanted to edit it to make it look clearer and more easier to look at. another thing in which i wanted to change about the image is that i wanted the artist to be the main focal point of the image so i wanted to crop it to make her of more importance in the image.
How i edited it :
1. i first played arouns with the brightness and contrasts of the the image to make my artist more brighter in the image and the background darker.
2. i then used the cropping tool to make the artist seem more closer in the image and more clearer.
3. i then used the burn tool to darken the background get rid of any creases which you could see in the cloth for the background.
4.i then used the sponge tool to brighten my artist face to make her stand out more in the image so she is more noticable.
5. i then used the spot healing tool to clear up any imperfections on her face and to make her seem airbrushed.
6. i then used the warping tool to make her arms slimmer so that i could give her the hourglass shape.
final outcome and how i made it :
This is my final outcome,i used publisher to put writing over the top of the image to tell her fans abit about her and the reasons for her making the album i think that this worked quite well and i think that i have used a font for this as it is the same font in which i ahve used for the magazine advertand for the title of the album on the front cover so overall i think that it has worked well.
Original image of disc:
This is the original image for my disc the reasons as to why i wanted to edit the image was because i thought the background looks abit grey and needed to be made brighter to make the silhouette of my artist stand out more in the image so it gave more of a good impression when you look at it.
How i edited it:
1. i first used the contrast and brightness levels to make the artistst and outmore.
2. i then used the brightening tool to make the background seem more brighter to make the silhouette seem darker.
3. i then used the burn tool to make my artist seem more darker and silhouette style
4. i then used the clone tool to clear up any defects in the image.
Final outcome
Overall i think that this has worked well because it looks like a quite professional silhouette and looks alot different to the rest of the album. How i created the disc is that i got the dimensions of an album and then made the circles within that size to fit the album case. overall i think that this is one of my most successful images throughout my digi-pak.
original image of back cover:
This is my original image for my back cover what i thought that needed improving for this image is that i needed to crop the image to make my artist more in focus of the image. I then felt that i needed to make the image brighter so i thought by adding up th brightness it would make my artist stand out more in the image so she is more of importance.
how i edited it:
1. I cropped the image to make my artist more of the focal point in the image but however i made her to be on the right hand side of the page so that the name of the songs were plaed along the side of her.
2. I then used the levels to change the brightness and the contrasts of the image up.
3. I then used the sponge tool to make certain areas of my artist brighter and more in focus
4. I then used the burn tool to make the background of the image with the fabric background more smoother looking and more professional looking.
5. I then used the spot healing tool to clear any imperfections on her face to make her more flawless.
6. I then put a filter over the image which is black and white i thought this made the back cover more minimilistic looking and more professional looking.
7. I then used the spot healing tool to make her face seem more airbrushed looking and more celebrity like.
Final outcome and how i made it :
Overall i think that by back cover to my album has worked well because i have brought up te brightnes of this image and i think by doing this it has meant that the main thing which you look at when you see the back cover you notice the artist the most. How i added the words and the label record on the back cover is that i got an image of islandrecords logo on google and saved it as my own image and then inserted it on to the image through publisher, i also did the same with the barcode this has then made the album look as though it could be sold in a shop. I then got a text box and inserted the song names over the top of the image and the email and contact information for the artist and the webpage which has meant that it is easier for fans to get in touch with there favouite artist.
Original image of magazine advert
The reasons for editing this image is because i felt that the image was too dark for the background of a magazine advert and i think that if i want writing over the top of the image i figured that i tshould be more brighter i also thought that my artist needed more editing and that she needed to be more brighter and stand out more.
How i edited it:
1. first i used the levels on photoshop to bring up the birghtness and contrast of the image ot make the artist satnd out more
2. i then used the spot healing tool to clear any imperfections on her face an to make seem airbrushed
3. i then used the warping tool to make body slimmer and more in porportion to the image.
Final outcome and how i made it :
2. i then used the brightening tool to make the background seem more brighter to make the silhouette seem darker.

Final outcome and how i made it :
This is my final outcome to my magazine adcert as you can i have rounded the edges of the image i this so that it would stand out more when it is seen in a magazine. I have also inserted the image of the album cover in the left hand side of the advert so that when people see the advert they can also see the the album and what i am advertising as i havent used the same image from the album for the magazine advert. I have used the same font throughout the magazine advert the reasons for this is thati wanted to advert to look more tidier and more neat so i didnt want it to seem odd by having too many fonts in the way. However i did use a wordart font for the date of release for the album this is so that it shows importance from the rest of the words on the advert so that it is the most noticable writing on the advert. Overall i think that my advert has worked successfully and represents my artist well and the album.
